Fashion Staples for Every Working Women
Listen up ladies, as we get ready to brave the world post-covid and get ready to enter back into the office, there are four staple items everyone working women should have in their wardrobe and they are:
A classic neutral trench coat is something you can wear any time of the year, depending on where you’re located of course, but it’s one of the most worn items in many people’s wardrobes. If its chilly out, but not cold enough for a heavy coat, grab the trench coat. There’s rain in the forecast? Say no more, let me reach for my trench coat. It’s convenient enough to have with you through almost all of the seasons throughout the year and it’s something that won’t go out of style either.
My next must have item is the classic straight legged pant. Now these pants don’t always have to cut at the ankle, they can be floor length too, but they show off your figure and scream boss babe with a cute pair of heels to go with them. Now my number one rule in the wardrobe department is to never be too bold with your outfits. Meaning, don’t match a bold/flashy blouse with a loud printed pant. They may work for outside of the office, but inside you want to maintain that professional dress attire not only with your boss, but your peers as well. That’s why I always like to pair a bold top with a neutral bottom or vice versa, which is why this printed top pairs perfectly with these straight legged pants.
Now let’s chat about shoes. I’ve never been one to love open toed shoes in the office. That may work for some, but I love a neutral stated heel with a fun outfit. These heeled mules are a fun take for heels in the office. Very similar to the fun/flirty thick branded strappy heels that have been making their way into our closets, but more refined and simpler plus, they’re closed toe and not open.
